Was macht der Jagulator?

Jagulator Development Continues
Its been quite a while since my last update but this does not mean I have forgotten about Jagulator. Much work has been done since the release of v1.5.1 and things are progressing well. I had a lot of good feedback from the last release, all of which was very positive. The two main issues that have been highlighted are the fact that emulator was not 'user friendly' and that the Jaguar Development Community could not use the emulator productively. These and other bug reports made me have a good hard look at the code in v1.5.2 (which was due to follow 1.5.1 soon after). I decided that it would be a long haul to retro-fit the 1.5.1 code so I broke it down into its core components are started to rebuild it again. The new version, v1.6.0, is due to be release in the very near future and will come in two releases: 'Gamer' and 'Developer'. The Gamer release will be much easier to use with all development code removed and a ton of optimisations done. This release is targetted at those who just want to click and play with as little fuss as possible. The Developer release will provide an optimised emulator with a full debugger attached. This will allow developers to tinker with new code etc., without the need to upload to an Alpine or use the BJL kit. Of course it will not be 100% with this first developer release but with the help of the Jaguar Community subsequent releases will improve things considerably.<hr></blockquote>
