Mahlzeit!

Habe mir gedacht, dass ich mein System von Debian auf Ubuntu umstelle, weil das einfach aktueller ist. Habe die Ubuntu-Pakete zur sources.list hinzugefügt und die Pakete upgedatet.
Soweit kein Problem, beim ein oder anderen Paket hing es etwas, aber nichts, was man nicht klären konnte.

Ich habe jetzt allerdings 2 Probleme mit meiner Hardware.

Ich boote weiter meinen 2.6.18-4 Kernel von Debian, da der 2.6.20 von Ubuntu nicht mit meinem SW-RAID will und daher gar nicht erst bootet.

In Mailinglisten brauche ich es vermutlich gar nicht erst versuchen, da wird es heißen, dass man sowas ja gar nicht erst macht und die von Ubuntu werden mich zu Debian schicken und andersrum.

Kommen wir also nun zu meinem ersten Problem: Die Soundkarte (ALSA)

Ich habe eine Audigy 1 ES von Creative, welche vor dem Update auch problemlos funktionierte, nun macht sie gar nichts mehr.

Sie wird allerdings korrekt erkannt:

Auch im hal-device-manager und per hwinfo wird die Karte erkannt und auch das Modul "snd_emu10k1" wird korrekt geladen:

Allerdings gibt es unter /dev keinen entsprechenden Eintrag und beim Starten von /etc/init.d/alsa-util kriege ich mehrere Meldungen von amixer, dass die Karte nicht gefunden werden kann:

Problem Nummer 2: Mein sATA CD-ROM wird nicht mehr erkannt, auch das funktionierte vorher problemlos...

Ok, war ein Problem mit UDEV. Nachdem ich UDEV neu gestartet hatte, funktionierte es. Allerdings darf ich nun nach jedem Neustart UDEV starten ... woran es genau liegt, weiß ich also noch nicht..
