Wenn einer noch n pic mit der alten zone haben sollte, dann postet es doch mal, nur der nostalgie wegen ! Thx !
( jaja, früher war alles besser
, You sell your Snes and copier, because Snes emulation WILL be perfect some day. This also applies to other systems, or if you have a vast collection of carts to the system you sell.
, You actually put up a nostalgic smile when UAE guru meditates.
, You look forward to the latest emu news more than the real news.
, You have more ROM images on your hard drive than you could ever possibly play, even if you lived to be a hundred, yet you still want more.
, Trying out the latest version of [fill in emulator name] is a valid excuse for missing weddings, funerals, birthdays, work, school etc.
, You always forget to turn on the sound since most emulators don?t have sound anyway.
, You buy A MMX 200 because you want to play Esnes without frame skipping.
, You try to convince your boss at work to buy a monster machine with Unix (so you can play the Unix version of INES)
, All your links in Explorer/Netscape are directed to emulation related resources.
, At least 300 to 400 MB of your harddisk contains emulators and roms
, You spend hours at IRC (#emu) even though you have to put up with stupid ops and retards asking about N64 and PSX emulators.
, Your having a hard time explaining to your friends that its great fun playing really old games even though they don?t have proper sound, wrong colours and have a choppy framerate on your Pentium.
, You actually complete some games on emulators that still are in the beta stages.
, You spend the whole weekend playing Jet set Willy 2 on a Spectrum or C64 emulator. Or some other equally sad game from the 80's
, You play a emulator side by side with the real machine to compare the sound and colours.
, When you play Shadow of The Beast II under UAE, you make the main character die, just to hear the wonderful ending tune. Getting a MOD of it, would be to easy.
, You have a Snes copier, but you spend hours to try tons of games on the new versions of all Snes emulators. Just to see how well they work.
, Your best friend/friends grab you by the neck and force you into playing the newest console/PC games under the supervision of a professional psychologist.
, You download the same game (say Pacman) for each and every system that had the game (SNES, Genesis, PCE, NES, SMS, Gameboy, C64, arcade etc.) and spend hours trying each one to see which one is the best!! And you do the same thing for not just a few games, but hundreds of games!!
, When your about to buy a new videocard, you are more concerned how good MAME and some other emulators run on it (you couldn't care less about filtering, mipmapping and other boring stuff).
, When you have lack of HD space the last thing you'll remove are roms... However its OK to compress the Roms.
, When your favorite game you've been playing on MAME for months finally get the right colours your stunned because the first colours looked better, or that's what you think.
, Cruising ""normal"" pages on the net feel like waste of time and you quickly start taking a look at your favourite emu pages instead.
, Your family and friends complain that they never see you because you always hang out on IRC chatting with fellow emulation fanatics.
, While other people want to play Quake on a network you would rather like to play Ice Hockey on NESticle.
, You make yourself look like a fool when you join a discussion with some important looking people about the ""European Monetary Union"" and say that you like playing Super Mario 3 using NESticle.
, Most of the zips in your incoming directory have a ""read_me.txt"" file in them. (Dave w
