Ich habe mir überlegt diesem Menschen ein Mail in einem anständigen Ton mit einer anständigen Argumentation zu schicken, aber irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, das würde nicht allzuviel nützen...
Obwohl, ich habe eine Idee, wie wärs, wenn ich den Brief hier posten würde und ihr ""unterschreibt"" dann und wir schicken denen die URLs...
Nur damit sie sehen, dass man sich hier Sorgen macht um die Beziehung zwischen Nationen, die eigentlich zusammenhalten müssten. Osama und Co. werden sich wohl kaum noch halten vor lachen, ab diesem Streit. Das ist genau, was die wollen...

We are deeply concerned about your websites. At any other time we would have laughed with you or just thought ""so what, they don't know better"" about your either strongly satirical (axisofweasels) or really offensive (axisofweasel, germanystinks and francestinks) jokes and material about France and Germany. We all belong to the German speaking room of Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and are used to this kind of jokes as you often can find these attacks on our Post-Board on the expenses of every of the three countries. Most of us don't like the French either and they are always the subject of some dissing.
Still, right now we have a problem with your site. The last few months were a political disaster. Old bounds that never should break experienced some serious damage (and we don't really care whose fault it is). As usual this was accompanied by a lot of accusations, hurt feelings and quarrelling. Nothing that our countries' leader couldn't handle, even though the situation is really ugly at the moment. The real problem is that a hell of a lot of sites like yours started appearing from nowhere. The effect of your sites on European people is not the one of satirical goodwill, but (with feelings already in heat) the one of hatemongery and propaganda.
These hate mails you got are the proof. I can imagine that you get a lot of them lately, more than it would usually be the case. We pity it. This is the wrong sort of reaction and one can only hope that the leaders of our countries are wiser than this. We also pity you, though, as you really seem to enjoy these hate-mails.
What would you Americans say if the Europeans started sites like axesofignorance? Some of you seem to be smart enough to dig up all the shit in French history. Would you do the same for your own? Believe us, we could and it wouldn't be about ""French Surrenders"". We could bring up shit in American history that would make Hitler look like a beginner, without even really digging. As a consequence some of you Americans would also start to write hate-mails to us, but does that solve our problems? No, it would only increase them.
This good deal of hick-hack between our countries is just a waste of energies. We should really concentrate on the problems and people that are threatening our Western Civilisation. After 9-11 we actually would have to stand closer and watch each other's back. This was an attack on our common history, culture and way of life. Everyone who says something else is on a wrong way.
We bet that Osama, Saddam and Company are laughing their asses of right now. And, by the way, none of us is watching North Korea. Just as a reminder, which country started missile tests not so long ago? Not the Iraq, if we remember correctly.
We ask you to stop your hatemongery. You are welcome to do as much propaganda as you want. You are welcome to make good and funny satire about France and Germany. Nonetheless we can't accept that you intentiously raise feelings of hate and anger with your sites. You know very well that you are provoking this reaction, so what's the point of it? It works, but such behaviour can't be in your own, our own or our common interests. What we need right now is to watch each other's back (as America did in World War I and II) instead of shouting at each other in hate and anger.
As for calling the German and French weasels: may we remind you the fact, that France and Germany were the two countries that suffered most from both world wars? They know how war looks like in the own country. You Americans don't. You had a Civil war, but so did every other of the Western Countries in their history, but no foreign adversary ever touched your continental soil with war. So maybe the French and German are a little wiser and more experienced regarding some of the horrors of war than you are?
