Linux Installation Prob

Ich hab mir heute aus der Bücherei Linux geholt (Red Hat 6.1), da ich mal wissen wollte, wie gut Linux wirklich ist.
Also hab ich unter XP eine neue Partition erstellt, 2gb gross, und diese dann gelöscht, wie in der Anleitung stand, d.h sie war leer und ohne Dateisystem.
Dann hab ich die Linux CD gestartet, MAus + Tastatur ausgewählt.
Dann sollte ich auswählen was ich installieren will (Server, Gnome Workstation oder KDE), ich wählte KDE ( die anderen gehen auch nicht) aus und dann kam diese Meldung:
An error occurred reading the partition table for the block device hda. The error was: No such file or direcotory
Dann machte ich retry, dann kam :
An error occurred reading the partition table for the block device hda. The error was:Succcess
Dann skip drive:
An error occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new filesystems. Please check your hardware for the causes of the problem
Hat einer ne Idee, oder was hab ich falsch gemacht?
